FISHERY RULES, CONDITIONS OF USE & SITE SPECIFICS

These rules have been drawn up to protect the fish stocks, anglers and wildlife of the site:

  • Classic Carp Ltd accept no responsibility for any injury, illness or damage to persons or property in connection with the facilities provided at the fishery.

  • Anglers must park in designated areas and close all gates having passed through.

  • All Environment Agency rules apply.

  • 3 rods max can be used but from 1st Nov – 1st March a 4th is allowed.

  • An angler can only occupy one swim at any one time.

  • All fish to be returned to the pits as soon as possible. Strictly No Carp Sacks.

  • Girton A landing nets, weigh slings and unhooking mats MUST be disinfected on arrival to the fishery NO EXCEPTIONS. The Cove - Only landing nets, weigh slings and unhooking mats provided must be used.

  • No braided main lines or casting leaders of any kind. Minimum 0.35 diameter line.

  • No leaders, tubing only on The Cove Lake

  • No plastic baits including zigs.

  • Spomb floats must be used

  • No wading or swimming

  • NO LITTER

  • If the conditions are wet please don’t drive around the lake.

  • Don’t fish under the pylons.

  • Girton A & Girton B Dogs are allowed under supervision whilst fishing. No dogs are allowed on The Cove or Girton C Georges due to live stock. The fishery is not to be used to exercise your dog when you are not fishing.

  • Anglers shall not add to, remove or alter in any way, the banks, trees, and land surrounding the fishery.

  • Anglers must not engage in any activity or angling practice that endangers the fish stocks, wildlife or water bodies of Classic Carp Ltd. ​(It is your responsibility to make sure your rigs are safe).

  • Anglers wanting to publish vlogs, blogs or any other commercial promotion must have prior permission.

  • Classic Carp Ltd reserve the right to change the rules and conditions if deemed necessary.

Breeches of the rules may result in anglers being asked to leave the fishery. If the rules and conditions of the fishery are broken and anglers are asked to leave no refunds will be given.
