GIRTON C - GEORGES LAKE

Georges Lake is 25 acres of young dry dug gravel pit, like Girton A it has significant depths down to 25’. The lake was used as a lagoon for the gravel pit washings which over time has created a large bar system at the north end of the lake.

The lake is open and has grass banks no formal swims on Georges.

Access is barrow only.

The fishery is a dedicated specimen bream water and the stock is roughly as follows:

  • 50-60 bream

  • Average of 10lb+

  • 10 over 15lb

  • 3 at 17lb​​

There is also a good head of pike up to 20lb with winter pike tickets available.

Membership is £300/year
